This week there’s no new episode, but I wanted to share something that’s been on my mind—especially with the NARI Summit in Melbourne tomorrow. The NARI Summit is a national gathering focused on ageing research and innovation, bringing together experts, policymakers, and advocates to explore how to improve the lives, work opportunities, and wellbeing of older Australians.

For professionals over 60, the world of work is shifting. Australians are living longer and our working lives are changing, yet we still run into familiar barriers—ageism, the arbitrary “retirement age,” and the unspoken idea that learning new skills is only for the young. The truth is, your experience is an asset—but only if you can frame it in a way that others can see its value.

That’s what Wisepreneurs is all about. I share simple, practical frameworks—ways to make sense of change, focus your energy, and turn wisdom into meaningful, independent work. Not “10 tips” or empty pep talks, but clear ways to decide what matters most, what to ignore, and how to keep moving forward.

The journey of a Wisepreneur is different; it is an act of Wayfaring.

This ancient term describes a traveler who navigates the path as they find it, using their wisdom and internal compass to respond to the landscape and guide their next step.

It reframes this chapter of your life not as a race for metrics, but as an exploration.

The goal is to create a ripple effect where your contributions create value far beyond your own efforts.
